At the Ballet with Roland Petit - Framed Vintage Photograph
Roland Petit is one of the world’s most recognized ballet dancers, choreographers, and ballet company directors—having grown, exploded, and revolutionized the scenery of ballet in Paris and worldwide. He is linked to collaborations outside of the ballet world as well, with people like Rose Repetto (his mother and famed shoe designer), Serge Gainsbourg, Max Ernst, and Yves Saint Laurent.
This original vintage French photograph, Deuil en 24 Heures (Grief in 24 Hours), was taken by Terrence Young during Les Ballets de Paris de Roland Petit (1973), featuring Cyd Charisse and Roland Petit himself. Artist stamp and notes on verso.
Custom walnut frame made in France set with a double, finely-textured, acid-free matting and anti-reflection plexiglass.
Frame dimensions: 13.5 × 11 × 0.5 inches
The photograph has a few dimples and wrinkles, barely noticeable when viewed closely from certain side angles.
Shipped directly from my home in the Basque Country in southwestern France.
